History

The company Republic Training Centre, Ltd., was founded  on 1st June 1998 under the name PDC, Ltd (Professional Diagnostic Centre). From the beginning of its existence the company has focused on the area of human resources development, human potential research  in relation to employability, project management (national and international projects) and implementation of innovation in career counseling. There has been  a great emphasis on IT, which  the company uses for automated processing in careers diagnostics.

In 2002 the company was renamed  Republic Training Centre, Ltd. (RCV) and its activities expanded into organizing of training courses for Job Centres’ clients (e.g. counseling programs and retraining courses). The company was then accredited by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Affairs to run professional training courses. The number of accredited professions soon exceeded 100. These changes contributed to the decision to move the company’s headquarters to Prague.

The year 2005 was also very important for RCV. The company gained recruitment agency accreditation and implemented system ISO 9001. In that year, RCV became a successful recipient of a series of European Social Founds projects and for the first time won tenders for comprehensive services  for Job Centres’ clients on national level. Moreover, RCV joined the Association of Adult Education Institutions of the Czech Republic.

As a logical consequence of its dynamic  growth the company underwent a major restructuring in 2006. A new administrative centre was created in Havlickuv Brod. The back-office processing in this strategically located town supports the nationwide operation of the company. By the end of the year RCV’s turnover increased tenfold.

In 2009 the company, based on the previous successful period, exploited new opportunities in time of economic crisis. New procedures in education were implemented, e.g. individual vocational retraining. A new management system for education activities called RCV Info  was developed. Most importantly, year on year the number of successfully completed education activities reached a new peak, although the staff was reduced by half.

Since the year 2010 the company has defined a new strategy and has implemented a system of continuous change management. It has also been utilizing a new business process automation system METASTORM. In addition the company has been engaged in many activities of the National Guidance Forum.
